Analysis:

User <smd>adm seems not to be able to read the logon file. The cause might be that file system permissions are missing.

 

Solution:

Fix the permissions of /usr/sap/hostctrl/work/sapcontrol_logon

The sapcontrol_logon file is accessible for the sapsys group.
